Rumstse Metaalhandel NV

Van Der Spek NV delivered two new Terex-Fuchs handling machines to Rumstse Metaalhandel NV.  Besides a Terex-Fuchs MHL350D, we also supplied a Terex-Fuchs MHL320D.

“Rumstse Metaalhandel” is named after the place where it is established, Rumst in the province of Antwerp and is specialized in the collecting and the processing of many metal streams.  They own a fleet of trucks and have a scrap cutter available on the site to handle these streams to the right dimensions.

The delivered Terex-Fuchs MHL320D is naturally equipped with a hydraulically adjustable cab which ensures an optimal view of the work area.  The 4-point outriggers ensure a very stable stamping so that the machine can work safely in every position and without any risk of instability.

To load a 40 ft container, the Terex-Fuchs MHL350D is equipped with a 15 meter handling boom.  The machine has a 600 liter 4-armed HGT gripper mounted.  At the grab the range is 16,5 meter at ground level.

A 6.0 liters Deutz 6-cylinder Tier III engine with 148Kw is responsible for the drive of the Fuchs MHL350D.  With the new cooling system, the sound level of the machine has decreased with 3 dB compared to the previous C-series.  The cooling has increased so that the cooling fin can run slower.  The regulation of the oil cooling fin is thermostatically controlled so the engine has always the correct operating temperature.
